Hey Guys,

I just wanted to give you the heads up on what’s going on. We just played an awesome show with Thriving Ivory on Friday. They were fantastic and it was an honor to share the stage with them. We won’t be having any shows for a while, because we’re still working on our album. I am so excited to start vocals next week. This album has been so therapeutic for me and it’s some of the most personal stuff I’ve ever wrote about. There is going to be a lot of changes in the band, but I don’t want to spoil and tell you exactly what I mean yet. I hope that you guys will love everything that we’ve been working on. Our fans were a HUGE influence in making this album. We have evolved so much since we started two years ago and our music has changed for the better. Prepare for something entirely new.

All of that aside, I got to see John Mayer this past week! He was incredible and I still can’t believe I was in the same area as he was. Please check him out on the “Battle Studies” tour, you won’t regret it.

Well I don’t really have much more to say. I’ll be bringing our FLIP CAM into the studio and be taking lots of pictures!

Hey Guys,

So tonight I saw the movie called Eat Pray Love, based on the novel of the same name by Elizabeth Gilbert. I just finished the book about two days ago and have to tell you the amazing impact it had on my life. Basically Elizabeth hits rock bottom after she decides she no longer wants to be married to her husband. She travels to three places, Italy, India and Indonesia, to learn how to experience pleasure, devotion and balance. It’s a great book and movie and I definitely recommend seeing and reading both of them.

After recent events, I had felt very empty and alone with myself. For the first time I had questions about who and what I wanted to be. What did I want to do? Where was my life heading? After reading how someone else dealt with these issues, I began to form my own answers. While I haven’t figured out everything, I have learned and believe in a few great key points that Gilbert talks about in the book.

1. You are the most important person to you. Caring and learning and taking time for yourself is not selfish. After all, how can you be anything to anyone without being the best you, you can be.

2. When people (myself included) are in a relationship, they often time shape the other person’s thoughts and goals into what they want instead of what their partner really wants. I’ve done this a lot and it never works out. At the end of the day, the person your with has their own ideas and wishes. Constant communication is the only way to find out what these ideas are and to see if yours coincide.

3. Learn to let go of worry and doubt. Worry literally accomplishes nothing. If you’re going to worry, set aside time. After you’ve given the situation some thought, move on. Sometimes listening to music helps me get my head clear and then I just do something else constructive. This is very hard to do and I am trying everyday to just let things be. The world around you will change like it or not, the only thing you have power over is you.

4. Love yourself. This one is harder than it seems. I am very hard on myself when it comes to a multitude of subjects. My looks, my strengths and weaknesses, my emotions, are all under constant scrutiny from my own mind. The way I deal with this now is to either find the things I do like about myself and focus on that, or help others to realize things that are great about them. Seeing others happy, makes me happy. Saying I am beautiful or “I look good today” is very hard. Everyday I’m getting closer though.

While I may not have gone on a worldwide journey like Gilbert, I have been on my own kind of journey. I used to get upset about it and I know there will be times when I will again. Now however, I can find reasons to be grateful for it and I will know how to combat bad feelings if the return. I hope some of this will help you guys and if it does, please let me know.

I want you to know that all of you Kids Undercover are beautiful. I never want you to think of me as larger than life, I’m not concerned with being a “rock star”. I want to be approachable. Talk to me, share your stories and you’re knowledge.

Hey Kids Undercover,

Yes, I am alive and of course I didn’t forget you! I would think that most of you know by now, my life for the last two months has been nothing short of crazy in every way. I know for so long, I have been promising updates and special footage. I am still working on that, but I hope that once you understand my life lately, you’ll give me a pass just this once.

Like I said, most of you know my family situation right now and I want to thank you for all of the letters, emails, gifts and words of support. You guys are always there for me and even if we’re miles away from each other, I will always be there for you, at least through our music. When we write our songs, we try to use our life experiences to help you figure out yours. It’s a huge process of give and take and for me, it is the one thing that is keeping my heart beating right now.

Speaking of music, we are currently in the studio (I’m furiously sweating as I write this though, because the air conditioning broke :/) recording our full length CD. This is so exciting for all us, because we have already released two EP’s. Now however, is the time to progress and see what Hello Hollywood really can do. I can honestly say, I have never been more raw and truthful with my lyrics on this album. Some songs (You’ll have to figure out which ones) are almost torn out of my journal. I can’t be more excited for you guys to hear it and we’ll be keeping you updated with studio footage and updates along the way :)

In other news, I finally got to see Lady GaGa in concert! It was spectacular in every way and truly a moving, life-changing experience for me. Just thought you’d like to know because I’ve found a lot of Kids Undercover are also Little Monsters.

Today is also special because for those of you who haven’t heard the great news…..PROP 8 was declared UNCONSTITUTIONAL! That means gay people can once again be married in California. Now we’ve just gotta work on the rest of the country. Always “Believe In Love” guys and by the way, I’m getting that tattooed on my other wrist really soon.

Anyway, thanks for still caring about this blog, even though it’s been ages since I updated it! I will do my best to make new changes happen faster on here.

Hey Guys,

So I watched this video yesterday and I found it to be really interesting. So for the teens of this age, it is no longer exceptable to be just “Goth” or “Emo”. They have to completely stop being human almost. I was in a bunch of different clicks in high school and I totally get how it feels to want to express yourself and to fit in. I just find it extremely bizarre, that these kids have to become animals to find themselves. To each his own though. What do you guys think?

Hey Guys,

It’s been so long since I’ve posted anything. I’ve been really busy with the end of school and all of the events Hello Hollywood has been involved with. But I’m back now, just waiting for Tim to finally fix my blog. But it should be done very soon!

In other news, I’m leaving for San Francisco with the guys to play a private performance this weekend. It should be very fun! SF is one of my favorite cities that I’ve ever been to! They say that Pisces like myself will always be drawn to cities that overlook water, especially San Fran, because some people believe Atlantis was off the coast. That’s pretty crazy but fun to think about!

I’ve had two random obsessions lately. Firstly I can’t stop listening to British rock artists like Keane, Coldplay and Radio Head! I’ve been so into that music lately. Second, I keep watching Amy Adams’ movies like Leap Year and Julie and Julia. For some reason I’m seduced by her slightly nerdy, red-headed charms.

We’ve got two AZ shows scheduled for June. The first is the 11th with Reece and the second is the 24th at Skye Lounge. If you’re interested in tickets, feel free to hit a band member up.

After those dates we head to Cali for a show in LA and then back to San Fran for their PRIDE event. Even before those I’ll be in Chicago, so I’m excited about doing a lot of traveling this summer! The only drawback is I’m going to miss Jason so very much.

He leaves most likely tomorrow for Vegas and then for some events in Florida!!! We both will be gone a lot!

I hope all is well you guys! I can’t wait to see you at the shows! The blog should be all fixed up before the month is out!

Hey Guys, so I haven’t blogged in a while. I’ve been very busy practicing with the band for all of our wonderful events. We recently played the Phoenix Pride festival with Joan Jett and Berlin. It was a great experience and I was so honored to share the stage with acts that helped shape Rock N’ Roll history. If you’d like to see photos from the event you can check out my Facebook. Anyway, one great fashion trend I saw at the festival was Men’s Gladiator Sandals. I was soo shaky about this trend at first, but after seeing some photos from Coachella and seeing some from H&M, I changed my opinion even more.

I just wanted to share with you, that I’ve created a Look Book account. In the coming weeks I will be sharing some of my favorite looks. The site is great because it breaks down where you can buy each piece of the outfit! I will also be having some lovely looks that I have put together, for some of my gorgeous lady friends. The world around me has been filled with such violent highs and lows. Sometimes I can’t even catch my breath, as a wonderful celebration is ripped from me and I fall into the same habits. The habits that get me down, the ones that blur my vision, that allow me to miss all of the amazing things life has to offer. I can’t rid myself of them and they seem to steadily grow. I sweat the small stuff, I fear the big stuff. I’m an emotional HOT MESS.

I concern myself with pointless things, but these things seem so necessary. These are the things that I enjoy and care about. So what am I to do?

My loved ones, both by blood or otherwise are in a state of war. They, like myself, are battling their inner demons, so that they may find their mantras. Sometimes we come off as too arrogant, while our only aim is to discover and learn from others, not to put them down. We could all benefit from being better listeners.

All I can do is work slowly and be proficient at what I do. Hopefully, at the end of this battle, I am the victor and we’ll all see what I’m really about.

I am a sucker for an incredible performer. Wether you are a singer, dancer, or in this case, an ice skater. Johnny Weir is just that, an amazing performer who doesn’t stop to notice what others think of him. One that continuously delivers. That’s what matters. Check out this video of him skating to Poker Face (you knew there was bound to be GaGa somewhere in this). Watch especially around 2:50, the floor side is spectacular.

I have decided partially, that I am not cut out for this, or really anything. I have so many dire issues, that lash out like ugly snakes, corrupting my once calm mind. The snakes latch onto my loved ones and try to pull them down into the never ending amount of negative views that seem to be my home. I have tried to abolish these feelings, spiritually and otherwise, but they return like a yearly cold, ever waiting to ensnare my system with all of it’s horrid power. I am a slave to it’s embrace, I am a pawn in it’s strategy and lately, especially today, I have come to realize that I am even further from beating it then before.

I have searched for a remedy, I have consoled others, to try and find some special rite, one that will drive away this madness. I have been unsuccessful in my tries, as today I attacked one who has, to the best of his ability, tolerated my hideous ways for many years. Even worse was the fact that my poisonous words, were about those in great need and whom have experienced pain and suffering like I have never known. Nothing I have ever felt, no pain of the heart or the body, is as great as their situation. I am so shocked at the person that said those terrible things. It’s like I’ve got my own version of Hyde, lurking around every corner, licking his lips at every opportunity to put someone down. I don’t know this person, but it seems there is no one else left. I finally understand in some part, my self suffering, lashed upon me by the forces of nature, as a way to teach me Karma. I fear I have gone to far down this path, this is my fate now. I feel the largest sorrow for those I have let down and will continue to let down. Those who thought me to be a wonderful soul, full of love and compassion, when underneath there is only a monster. I am a MONSTER and that’s all I’ll ever be.
