After writing an essay on Animal Testing, I have been awakened to just how much cruelty is in the world. I seriously cannot believe that we as humans could act this way towards creatures that cause us no harm. It’s absolutely sickening and I will not take part in it any longer. While doing some research, I found a website that let’s consumers take part in boycotting products that do not officially ban animal testing. You WILL be surprised at how many everyday products may be being tested on helpless creatures. While some people believe that vegan and cruelty-free products may be expensive, the site also lists companies for just about everything from make-up and clothing, to cleaning solutions, most of which are pretty reasonably priced. I will definitely be adding a cruelty free lifestyle to my new years resolutions list. I think you should too. I’m not asking you to stop eating meat, just to be conscious of what you’re buying and what the effects of your purchases may actually be.
I hope everyone will spread the word, the website is called CaringConsumer.com. There is also a petition available for you to e-sign, which not only promises your support to buy only cruelty free products, but helps bring this issue to necessary legislation. There’s even a nifty and printable pamphlet, that lists all of the companies that DO NOT animal test and the icky ones that DO.
